Product Overview
This 14.6V 50A battery charger is designed for 4 series LiFePO4 lithium iron phosphate battery packs. With 730 watts of continuous output power, it delivers fast and safe charging for medium to large capacity batteries. The charger features constant current constant voltage charging algorithm, fully automatic output shutdown when charge completes, and multiple protection functions including reverse connection protection, overload protection, and short circuit protection.

Key Protection Features
Reverse connection protection prevents damage if the charger clips are connected to the battery with wrong polarity. Overload protection limits output current to safe levels. Short circuit protection instantly shuts down output if positive and negative terminals are accidentally connected. The charger automatically recovers after fault removal. These features make it safe for daily use in workshops, garages, and industrial environments.

Cooling and Build Quality
An intelligent speed controlled fan activates only when internal temperature rises, keeping noise low during light or finishing charge stages. The charger operates within -10°C to +45°C ambient temperature and can be stored from 20°C to 60°C. Relative humidity range is 20 to 90 percent with no condensation allowed. Maximum operating altitude is 3000 meters. The enclosure measures 283 by 142 by 64 millimeters and weighs 2.05 kilograms. IP20 protection rating makes it suitable for indoor use only.

Charging Algorithm Stages
The charger follows a three stage CC CV automatic shutoff profile. First is constant current stage where output voltage rises from 12V to 13.8V while full 50 amps flows into the battery. Second is constant voltage stage where voltage holds at 14.6V while current gradually decreases. Third is automatic off stage when charging voltage reaches 14.6V and charging current drops below 1 amp. This full cut off prevents overcharging and extends LiFePO4 battery life.

Electrical Specifications
Input voltage range is AC 220V to 240V at 47 to 63 Hz frequency. Output voltage ranges from DC 10V to 14.6V with 50 amps nominal current (±6 percent tolerance). The charger works with 4S LiFePO4 packs whose recommended charge voltage is 14.6V. For other battery chemistries like lead acid or NMC, do not use this charger as the voltage profile is specifically calibrated for LFP.

LED Indicators and User Interface
LED lights on the front panel show charging status. Red light typically indicates constant current stage or charging in progress. Green light indicates fully charged or standby. Some models have additional indicators for fault conditions such as reverse connection or short circuit. No display screen or buttons are required for operation; the charger works automatically once AC power is applied and battery is connected.

Applications
This charger is ideal for 4 series LiFePO4 batteries used in electric trolling motors, golf carts, floor cleaning machines, small AGVs, RV house batteries, solar storage banks, and portable power stations. It can charge battery capacities from 50Ah to 300Ah. For a 100Ah LFP battery at 50% depth of discharge, full charge takes about one hour. For a completely empty 200Ah battery, expect 4 to 5 hours due to the constant voltage stage tail current.
